About the event
This tour is designed for anyone interested in the past and present of the city. It offers a good combination of history, storytelling and useful insider tips.
We will talk about the most important events that shaped Brno: the Swedish siege, the time when products from the local textile factories were literally exported all over the world and the expulsion of Brno's Germans after the Second World War. You will also find out how the Brno city dialect originated, why there is a phallus on Freedom Square and why the bell rings at 11 o'clock in Brno.
Together we will visit St Peter and Paul's Cathedral and the House of the Lords of Lipá and also pass by all the other important sights and places in the Old Town: the Old Town Hall, Freedom Square, St James' Church, the Vegetable Market and many others.
