Your picnic basket is prepared by a local partner café close to Lužánky Park within walking distance from the city centre. Simply pick it up, take it to the park, find a nice spot on the grass, spread out your blanket and enjoy a peaceful moment with good food and drinks.

We recommend Lužánky for your picnic – Brno's oldest public park and just a short walk from the pickup point. But your picnic is not tied to one exact spot. If another place fits your day better, you can enjoy it there too.

After your picnic, just return the basket to the café.

Why Lužánky?

Lužánky is not just the nearest park.

Just a few minutes from the pickup point, it gives you space to leave the busy streets behind, sit under old trees and enjoy a slower side of Brno.

The park has been part of Brno’s public life since 1786.

Before that, this area was a meadow by the Ponávka stream and later became a Jesuit garden. Emperor Joseph II gave the former garden to the people of Brno, opening it to the public as the city’s first public park.

That made Lužánky Brno’s oldest public park and one of the first public parks in Central Europe.

More than two centuries later, people still come here to meet friends, read in the grass, play, talk, sit in the shade or do nothing for a while.
